monk's belt
I finished another scarf. The pattern on this one is called Monk's belt. It's a simple form of overshot, presumably named because you have two sets of thread. One makes a plain weave, and the other makes a pattern over the plain weave. It takes about twice as long (two threads, same length) but my understanding is this is an uncommon technique in commercially manufactured fabric.

It's really beautiful, Gary!
I noticed it at church last night. It turned out really nicely!
